Ένας καρχαρίας ύπνου μήκους έως τέσσερα μέτρα κινηματογραφήθηκε σε βάθος περίπου πεντακόσια μέτρα στον Ανταρκτικό Ωκεανό. Αυτό είναι η πρώτη φορά που είδαν καρχαρία τόσο νότια. Οι ερευνητές λένε ότι το είδος αυτό μπορεί να μην το είχαν δει για πολύ καιρό στα κρύα, απομακρυσμένα νερά της περιοχής.
