Οι αρχές πήραν μέτρα μετά από μαρτυρίες του Animal Party Cyprus για εξαφανίσεις γατών. Σήμερα, η αστυνομία με κτηνιατρικές υπηρεσίες έκαναν έρευνα σε δυο διαμερίσματα κοντά στη Λευκωσία με τη συμφωνία των κατοίκων, αλλά δεν βρήκαν τίποτα που να δείχνει ότι τρώνε γατάκι.
