Οι σεισμολόγοι λένε ότι ο σεισμός ένιωθαν σε πολλές περιοχές του νησιού, όπως η Λεμεσός, η Λευκωσία και ο Πόλις. Στα σχολεία και στα κτίρια γραφείων έγινε άμεση εκκένωση.
