Η Πάφος ήταν το κέντρο του σημερινού σεισμού. Σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες εκτιμήσεις, η ένταση του σεισμού ήταν πέντε κόμμα τρία βαθμοί στην κλίμακα Ρίχτερ και μετά ακολούθησαν ακόμη επτά μετασεισμοί.
