Στην Κύπρο διαδίδονται μηνύματα στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης, όπου απατεώνες λένε ότι είναι θύματα πρόσφατης φωτιάς και κατάφεραν να μαζέψουν μεγάλα ποσά χρημάτων με θαυματουργές εφαρμογές ή τυχερά παιχνίδια στο διαδίκτυο.
