Η Κύπρος ενίσχυσε την άμυνα της, δυναμώνοντας τις σχέσεις με το Ισραήλ και τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Μέσα στον προϋπολογισμό του δύο χιλιάδες είκοσι έξι, από τους δεκατρία δισεκατομμύρια εφτακόσια εκατομμύρια ευρώ, στα όπλα δόθηκαν εκατό εβδομήντα έξι κόμμα οκτώ εκατομμύρια.
