Ο πρόεδρος Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης είπε ότι η ένταξη στο ΝΑΤΟ "θα ήταν φυσική εξέλιξη" για την Κύπρο. Ωστόσο, αναγνώρισε ότι, αφού το κυπριακό ζήτημα παραμένει άλυτο, η Τουρκία θα βάλει βέτο στην αίτηση της Κύπρου.

Вступление в НАТО «стало бы естественным развитием» для Кипра, заявил президент Никос Христодулидис. Однако, он признал, что, поскольку кипрская проблема остается нерешенной, Турция наложит вето на заявку Кипра.
