Ο Κύπριος μπλόγκερ και Μέλος του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, ο Φοίβος Παναγιώτου, ζήτησε συγγνώμη αφού αποκάλεσε τους Παραολυμπιονίκες με νοητικές αναπηρίες 'τρελούς' στο podcast του, όπου συμμετείχε ο Παραολυμπιονίκης Λοΐζος Χρυσάνθου. Παραδέχτηκε ότι δεν έπρεπε να χρησιμοποιήσει αυτή τη λέξη για να περιγράψει οποιαδήποτε αναπηρία ή ασθένεια και έκανε δημόσια συγγνώμη.
