Η Κύπρος δέχτηκε την πρόσκληση των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών να συμμετάσχει ως παρατηρητής στη νέα συνάντηση «Συμβούλιο Ειρήνης» για τη Γάζα. Ο Πρόεδρος Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης είπε ότι είναι πολύ σημαντικό για τη χώρα.
