Κατά τη γιορτή των Θεοφανίων στην Αγία Νάπα, περισσότεροι από τριάντα άνθρωποι βούτηξαν στη θάλασσα για να πιάσουν τον χρυσό σταυρό που πέταξε ο μητροπολίτης. Όμως, ο σταυρός χάθηκε στον βυθό, και για να συνεχιστεί η τελετή, ένας ξύλινος σταυρός ρίχτηκε στη θάλασσα. Αργότερα, ο χρυσός σταυρός βρέθηκε επίσης.
Translation
During the celebration of Epiphany in Ayia Napa, more than 30 people dived into the sea to retrieve the golden cross thrown by the metropolitan. However, the cross got lost at the bottom, and to allow the ceremony to continue, a wooden cross was thrown into the sea. Later, the golden cross was also found.
