Επιχειρήσεις και ψαράδες στο Ξυλοφάγου (περιοχή Λάρνακας) έκαναν διαμαρτυρία ενάντια στη βρετανική βάση, επειδή τα σχέδια για την επέκταση του λατομείου μπλοκαρίστηκαν και τα εισοδήματά τους μειώνονται κάθε μήνα.
