Ο Ευρωπαίος Επίτροπος Κουμπίλιους είπε στο Euronews ότι συμφωνεί με τον Ρούτε του ΝΑΤΟ ότι η ΕΕ βασίζεται στις πυρηνικές προστασίες των ΗΠΑ. Ωστόσο, ο κορυφαίος αξιωματούχος άμυνας και διαστήματος της ΕΕ είπε επίσης ότι η ΕΕ μπορεί και πρέπει να δουλέψει για να γίνει ανεξάρτητη στην κανονική άμυνα.
Translation
European Commissioner Kubilius told Euronews he agrees with NATO's Rutte that the EU relies on the US nuclear protections. However, the EU's top defence and space official also said that the EU can and must work towards becoming independent in conventional defence.
