Στις τριάντα μία Δεκεμβρίου, ο Πρόεδρος Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης παραδοσιακά συγχαίρει τους πολίτες για το Νέο Έτος. Η ομιλία ήταν αφιερωμένη στην περίληψη των αποτελεσμάτων του έτους και την αρχή της προεδρίας της Κύπρου στο Συμβούλιο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης το δύο χιλιάδες είκοσι έξι. Ο Πρόεδρος τονίζει τη σταθερότητα της οικονομίας, τις αλλαγές που έγιναν, την αύξηση της ευημερίας και της κοινωνικής βοήθειας, καθώς και τις προτεραιότητες της κυβέρνησης - εκσυγχρονισμός του κράτους, αγώνας κατά της διαφθοράς και ενδυνάμωση των διεθνών θέσεων. Ιδιαίτερη προσοχή δίνεται στο Κυπριακό ζήτημα και τις προσπάθειες για επανέναρξη των διαπραγματεύσεων για την επανένωση του νησιού. On December 31, President Nikos Christodoulides traditionally congratulated citizens on the New Year. The speech was dedicated to summarizing the year's results and the beginning of Cyprus's presidency in the EU Council in 2026. The President emphasizes the country's economic stability, implemented reforms, increased welfare and social support, as well as the government's priorities—modernization of the state, fight against corruption, and strengthening international positions.
