Οι ομάδες διάσωσης με σκι και ειδικά οχήματα για το χιόνι προσπάθησαν να σώσουν ανθρώπους την Τρίτη σε κακές καιρικές συνθήκες. Έψαχναν για σκιέρ που πιάστηκαν σε χιονοστιβάδα στη Βόρεια Καλιφόρνια. Οι αρχές είπαν ότι δεκαέξι άτομα πιάστηκαν κοντά στην περιοχή Castle Peak, στο Tahoe. Έξι άτομα βρέθηκαν, ενώ δέκα παραμένουν αγνοούμενοι.
