Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών της Ρωσίας είπε ότι η θέση της Μόσχας στις διαπραγματεύσεις θα αλλάξει μετά από φερόμενες επιθέσεις στην κατοικία του Πούτιν στην περιοχή Νοβγκόροντ τη νύχτα της Δευτέρας. Ο Ζελένσκι απέρριψε τον ισχυρισμό, λέγοντας ότι είναι προσπάθεια της Κρεμλίνου να διακόψει την πρόοδο με την Ουάσιγκτον.
