Σύριοι φυλακισμένοι άρχισαν απεργία πείνας επειδή καθυστερεί η γρήγορη αποφυλάκισή τους και η επιστροφή στην πατρίδα τους. Πιο πριν, η κυβέρνηση της Κύπρου αποφάσισε να αποφυλακίσει περίπου εκατό τριάντα φυλακισμένους, κυρίως συριακής καταγωγής, για να μειώσει τον συνωστισμό στις φυλακές.
Translation
Syrian prisoners went on a hunger strike due to delays in their early release and return to their homeland. Earlier, the Cypriot government decided to release about 130 prisoners, mostly of Syrian origin, to reduce prison overcrowding.
