Το Τμήμα Ανάπτυξης Υδάτων Κύπρου εξετάζει πέντε επείγοντα έργα. Αυτά περιλαμβάνουν ένα πλωτό εργοστάσιο αφαλάτωσης στη Γερμασόγεια, μια νέα κινητή μονάδα στα Μάζωτος, και την επέκταση σταθμών σε Βασιλικό, Επισκοπή, και Αγία Νάπα. Όταν ολοκληρωθούν αυτά τα έργα, η ικανότητα αφαλάτωσης του νερού της Κύπρου θα αυξηθεί κατά εξήντα έξι τοις εκατό.

The Cyprus Water Development Department is considering 5 urgent projects. These include a floating desalination plant in Germasogeia, a new mobile unit in Mazotos, and the expansion of stations in Vasilikos, Episkopi, and Ayia Napa. Upon completion of these projects, Cyprus's water desalination capacity will increase by 66%.
