Το Σωματείο Υπαλλήλων της Υπηρεσίας Προστασίας Άγριας Ζωής Κύπρου είπε ότι οι εργαζόμενοι τους είναι στόχοι οργανωμένου εγκλήματος μετά από την πυρκαγιά σε προσωπικό αυτοκίνητο ενός επιθεωρητή. Υπάρχει από καιρό πρόβλημα βίας εναντίον τους. Θυμούνται τη δολοφονία του αρχηγού της υπηρεσίας το χίλια εννιακόσια ενενήντα εννέα.
