Ο Γενικός Γραμματέας του ΟΗΕ πρότεινε να παραταθεί η παρουσία των ειρηνευτικών δυνάμεων στην Κύπρο για άλλους δώδεκα μήνες. Εξέφρασε ανησυχία για στρατιωτικές παραβιάσεις στη ζώνη ασφαλείας και γύρω από αυτήν.
