Οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες δίνουν βοήθεια στην Κούβα για ανθρώπους που ακόμα υποφέρουν από τον τυφώνα Μελίσα στις ανατολικές περιοχές του νησιού. Η βοήθεια αυτή έρχεται παρόλο που υπάρχουν προβλήματα στις διπλωματικές σχέσεις, καθώς η Ουάσινγκτον συνεχίζει να ζητά από την Κούβα να μιλήσει για να λύσουν τα προβλήματα "πριν να είναι αργά".

The US has extended aid to Cuba for people still reeling from Hurricane Melissa in the island’s eastern regions. The aid comes despite a diplomatic rift, as Washington continues to urge Cuba to negotiate a deal to end tensions “before it is too late”.
