Όταν έφτασε στην Κύπρο, ένας Ουκρανός συνελήφθη στο αεροδρόμιο της Λάρνακας. Η σύλληψη έγινε γιατί ήταν εμπλεκόμενος σε καβγά που συνέβη την παραμονή της Πρωτοχρονιάς στη Λεμεσό. Ο ύποπτος χτύπησε έναν άνδρα στο πρόσωπο με ένα ποτήρι και του προκάλεσε σοβαρά τραύματα.
