Περίπου τριάντα αγρότες στην Λιβαδία (Λάρνακα) έκαναν διαμαρτυρία κατά της μαζικής σφαγής ζώων λόγω επιδημίας. Σύμφωνα με τους κανόνες της ΕΕ, όλα τα ζώα σε μια μολυσμένη φάρμα πρέπει να σφαγούν, ακόμα και αν δεν έχουν συμπτώματα. About 30 farmers in Livadia (Larnaca) staged a protest against the mass culling of livestock due to an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. Farmers have been promised compensation, but they are demanding to suspend the culling, conduct repeat tests, and ensure transparency.
